This can happen to anyone – comedy genius
Selected by Shelby, the studio woffer – it’ll floor ya!
A cracking new track from Algiers. Refreshing to say the least.
Been involved in some weird productions over the years, but this is very much an ‘only in Ukraine’ kind of story.
Raph and I knew straight away that this was going to be one of those phone calls that turns your life upside down. A client had just booked us to produce / direct an intimate, acoustic gig by Justin Bieber, in front of 100 fans, for VEVO USA. The live clips were to be showcased on VEVO in the weeks leading up to his forth-coming album release. We had a solitary week to pull it all together.
We friggin’love this epic commercial featuring Justin Timberlake in his most serious acting role to date – playing a washed up lime.
What constitutes perfection? We couldn’t think of anyone better than Jeff Koons to try and answer the unanswerable.
Good Cop Bad Cop loves helping brands connect to audiences through the power of music. This article by Michael Joubert gives some interesting insights into how the music industry is harnessing its commercial power.
The kind folks at VEVO gave us the above wrap!
This one was an absolute blast to make! Shot in the Chinese Friendship Gardens in Sydney, it was a spectacular day with Caleb and Georgia from BROODS before they snuck off to play a knockout gig (Which we also shot for VEVO Showcase). We had them row themselves into the middle of a lake, drop anchor, and wait for direction via a crackly radio stashed in the boat as drone buzzed metres from their heads… As always, they handled the challenges like the bloody legends they are!
Came across this one in the archives – one of the first jobs I directed out of film school – a real summer hit!
A snapshot from a recording I directed for US indie group, Band of Horses’ performance at Melbourne’s iconic band venue, the Corner Hotel. Screened on Channel V and featured on a DVD showcasing the band’s international tour.
It’s an old school technique that’s appeared in all manner of scenes throughout film history. And although we’ve now had a few cracks at it, I must admit, Rear Projection still gets me excited. Our first attempt was on a ‘no budget’ music clip for The Devastations. More recently we created a range of dynamic motion graphics, which successfully brought a bit of Paris to Shed 4 Docklands.
A clip we made for a mate’s band on the smell of an oily rag. One of those jobs you make on a wing and a prayer and hope you end up with something that works!
The first film I ever made, featuring a young Richard Cawthorne, which played around the world including the British & LA Int. Shorts Film festivals – winning the Flying Camera for Best Short Film, at the Hanover Int. Film Festival, Germany
Came across this one when I was clearing out the studio archives … a still from my VCA graduation film!
The viral ad we produced for Fleet Partners got the better of some on-line editors and found its way onto ninemsn’s homepage as a top news item – ‘Shocked diners: Angry man rips car apart in busy street’.
